Mary Coonan, MA

Coonan has more than 25 years of experience in program development and leadership with an emphasis on outcomes development/tracking and evaluation both in Latin America and on the U.S east coast. Specifically, she has been responsible for the design and implementation of outcome and data tracking systems for: a revolving loan fund operating in 26 communities throughout Nicaragua; an international microfinance training program for practitioners from over 100 communities; a workforce development program serving seven family homeless shelters in Boston; and an economic development center partnering with 22 community organizations in the Boston area.
Currently Coonan is working as an evaluation consultant with the Center for Social Policy supporting organizations with evaluation, defining outcomes and developing monitoring systems. Past CSP clients have included Thrive in 5 (multi-site, multi-year evaluation,) Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation of Massachusetts (multi-site, multi-year evaluation), Brookview House Family Shelter, Home Start, Inc., Year-UP, Project Hope, and Cambridge Cares About Aids. Through CSP’s contract with the HUD Regional Office, she also provided technical assistance to Continuums of Care (CoC) throughout New England for developing/maintaining homeless management information data monitoring systems.
