Mai See Yang is a PhD student in the Gerontology program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She has experience developing culturally and linguistically appropriate services for the University of California-Davis Health System and the state of California. Her previous research project focused on antidepressant adherence in Southeast Asian populations, and the relationship between underrepresented communities and clinical trial enrollments, suicide in the Hmong youth population, and health profiles among Southeast Asians. Yang's academic interests are in mental health, equality care, veterans, and aging in Southeast Asian communities. Yang is also an affiliated faculty member of the Asian American Studies Program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is an alumna of the University of California-Davis and California State University-Sacramento.
