    Company Background

    enEvolv engineers and licenses microorganisms to produce chemicals, enzymes, and small molecules for variety of industries including specialty chemicals, food, energy, personal care, and pharmaceuticals.     Internship Position - Business Development Intern

    Description

    The Business Development Intern will work with the management team to identify and qualify potential collaboration partners for enEvolv.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct market research to identify potential collaborators – both commercial and government organizations
    • Contact the target prospects in order to generate interest and start a dialogue
    • Put together and execute a plan to stay in contact with the target organizations

    Qualifications

    • Graduate student majoring in business or marketing
    • Undergraduate background in chemistry, biology or biotechnology
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Good understanding of the use of technology for marketing (i.e., social networks, salesforce, etc.)
    • Must be resourceful and a problem solver

    Compensation

    • 20 hours a week

      Responsibilities

      Responsibilities
      • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of marketing materials to support the company's sales and marketing efforts.

      • Responsible for executing mass mailing initiatives including direct mail and email campaigns

      Qualifications

      • Intern must be willing to learn about renewable energy with a focus on solar power. There will be a heavy focus on economics of renewable energy
      • Intern will be expected to want to understand renewable energy and its value. This will take more than direct training and will require some additional home based reading to understand the industry
      • Experience utilizing marketing tools and CRM programs
      • Speak clearly and confidently and be able speak with potential customers.
