Campus Community Health and Wellness
University Health Services for Faculty and Staff
Although UHS does not offer primary care services to faculty and staff, health and wellness outreach programs offered to the university, as well as on line resources, are available to the entire campus community. UHS recommends that faculty and staffs chose a primary care provider who is a member of their health insurance plan and maintain regular preventive health evaluations. This includes assuring their adult immunizations are current and up to date.
UHS staff provides also provides consultation to department heads and administrators whose employees may require medical surveillance as part of their job duties. This is coordinated through Human Resources, the Safety Office and with others, and may include coordination of contracting with outside healthcare providers.
In order to decrease the likelihood of seasonal flu impacting the campus community, UHS sponsors seasonal flu clinics to the members of the campus community ( students, faculty and staff) on an annual basis. Additionally, Travelwell, our travel clinic for those traveling internationally, is available to all of our campus members as well.
