- Effective March 1, 2015, as a condition of employment, the University of Massachusetts Boston will conduct appropriate background check reviews for all new benefitted hires. The Staffing and Compensation Unit oversees and manages campus recruitment, as well as salary administration and classification programs for benefited and non-benefited employees to ensure compliance and consistency with federal, state, and university policies and guidelines, as well as campus-wide collective bargaining agreements. The unit also works closely with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to ensure that all hiring policies are adhered to.
