Software Installation


The General Use Labs (GUL) support a number of software applications.  Clients may request specialized licensed software to be installed in the labs.  To see currently installed software go to:

Once a request has been submitted, you may contact appropriate staff during the hours:

If you plan to use software not currently available in the labs, be sure to bring the software to the network administrator at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester or 2 weeks prior to the time you plan to use it in your class. (Be sure your software is compatible with the operating system currently in use; is net-workable and that you have the proper license agreement attached.) This includes CDs supplied with course materials, Demos will not be installed. 

Once you have arranged for the installation of your software package, testing of your software is your responsibility. Be sure to complete the testing of your software before using in the classroom. Lab staff is not responsible for software not tested by the professor prior to expected classroom use.
