Leading the Way Award Honoree
Congratulations Sonia L. Alleyne
The annual Leading the Way award recognizes an Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) alum who has risen to the level of significant responsibility, leveraged a broad network and worked collaboratively to affect outcomes, is involved in the community, and serves the ELP. This year we are pleased to recognize Sonia L. Alleyne, class of 2006. Sonia is the founder and CEO of the Suffolk County Community Foundation. She is also a nonprofit advisor and adjunct faculty member in the Institute for Public Service and the Moakley Center for Public Service at Suffolk University.
Jennifer Putzbach, chair of the ELP alumni board states, "Sonia exemplifies the collaborative leadership qualities that we, as ELP Alumni, strive to achieve. She is a courageous advocate for inclusion and leads with extraordinary compassion and respect. In addition to her impressive professional achievements, Sonia's many community initiatives have connected those around her with meaning and genuine impact."
The Center for Collaborative Leadership looks forward to presenting the Leading the Way award to Sonia L. Alleyne at the Changing the Face of Leadership lunch on June 8th!
