Catholic Campus Ministry

Catholic Campus Ministry Hours:
Mondays—Thursdays 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Deacon Tam Tran became the Catholic Chaplain to the UMass Boston community in September 2014. He has a Master of Arts inTheology from St. John's Seminary.
Deacon Tam Tran is a trained scientist and has a long successful history in business. He has also been a college math and science instructor. At UMass Boston he has offered several classes to help students improve their knowledge and personal strength. He plans weekly Masses and other special observances.

Protestant Campus Ministry
Reverend Adrienne Berry-Burton
Reverend Adrienne is an ordained minister. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA, (1983) and a Master of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School, Newton, MA (1997). She continued her studies as a Harvard Divinity School as an Urban Ministry Fellow, (Certificate, 2003). She is a Spiritual Director trained through Gateways to God:Spiritual Direction and Congregational Formation, hosted by Rolling Ridge Retreat and Conference Center, North Andover, MA, an United Methodist Church ministry, ( 2015).
Rev. Adrienne has been an educator, minister and a professional organizer. Before coming to UMass Boston she worked for Greater Boston Interfaith Organization helping diverse people-of-faith work together as forces for positive social change. She also worked as an Associate Pastor and Minister at Zion Baptist Church, Lynn, MA and as a Youth Organizer with First Lutheran Church, Lynn. MA. She also serves congregations as guest preacher, guest vocalist and Interim Pastor. Students are welcome to visit in McCormack Hall.
Rev. Adrienne came to UMass Boston in September 2000. She provides Pastoral Care, Spiritual Direction, a listening ear, prayer, referrals to local Houses of Worship, opportunities for dialog, interactive faith events, fun fellowship, and leads Bible study discussions and seated meditation - Circle Time Meditation. She is the Director of the UMass Boston Gospel Choir. Her ministry is supported by Oasis of Faith Campus Ministries. Oasis of Faith can be found on Facebook.
