Changes Continue by University Hall; MBTA Bus Stop Moves

Construction beginning April 3 on the new roadway section in front of University Hall will close the waterfront entrance to University Hall and decrease existing road space available for buses for the next several weeks.

All those coming or going to University Hall will either use the connector from the Campus Center or use the courtyard entrance on the campus-side of the building.

The MBTA bus stop for Routes 8 and 16 will continue to be adjacent to University Hall but move closer to the Campus Center. The buses will leave the Campus Center earlier than the published schedule and will not idle. MBTA bus riders may prefer to use the existing stop on Mt. Vernon Street by Harbor Point near campus, which will follow the published schedule.

This roadway construction prepares for the opening of University Drive South later this spring. At that time construction will move directly in front of the Campus Center.

ISC HarborWalk Access Changes

Also, the pedestrian access between the Integrated Sciences Complex and the HarborWalk will be available for the next two weeks through the campus-side first floor lobby door to accommodate utility work.

Garage Work Ramps Up

Crews will also be excavating and removing soil by trucks at the garage site off University Drive West near Monan Park. Pile driving is scheduled to begin later this month.
