Men's Hockey Will Be Home Team At Frozen Fenway Game

UMass Boston men's hockey team got a precursor to their Frozen Fenway game Tuesday afternoon, as members of the Beacons and Salem State University Vikings visited Fenway Park for the official coin flip.

Chancellor J. Keith Motley's pick of tails came up Beacons Blue, so UMass Boston will be the official hosts of the two team's Citi Frozen Fenway matchup on January 7 at 4 p.m.

The coin flip coincided with the first day of tickets going on sale for the matchup at Frozen Fenway online.

Tickets are on sale for between $10 and $30, with the Beacons section designated as the first-base side of the field. More information will be released about specific fans sections and other events related to the game as they become available.

Both team's captains, head coaches, mascots, and assorted members of their athletic departments and administrations showed up in support.
