On display in UMass Boston's student-run Harbor Gallery through October 16, "Absence and Presence" is 98 printmakers’ collaborative response to the bombing of the Al-Mutanabbi St. Book Market. These 100 works of art form a testament to the vital role of the arts, literature and culture, and their enduring importance in preserving social justice in the face of violence and terrorism.

The gallery, located on the first floor of McCormack Hall, is open Mondays through Thursdays from 1 to 6 p.m.

There will be a reception and gallery talk on Thursday, September 21, from 5 to 8.
