Starting in December the UMass Boston section of the HarborWalk will close on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for approximately two weeks. The closure is scheduled to begin on Thursday, December 1 and end Friday, December 16.

The closure is the result of construction on a new Fox Point boat dock landing platform, as well as HarborWalk pavement repairs that will improve the pedestrian and cycling experience.

Signs will be posted by the closed portion to redirect pedestrians and cyclists.

This work is part of UMass Boston’s Fox Point Dock replacement that will take part in phases and open in spring 2017 with full ADA access and enhanced waterfront recreational and research resources.
