To accommodate added construction work during Spring Break, Parking Lot D off Mt. Vernon Street will close this weekend and will reopen when classes resume on Monday, March 21.

The Mt. Vernon Street satellite lot near St. Christopher’s Church will also close during Spring Break. The Bayside Lot on Mt. Vernon Street will be open weekdays during the break, with no change in schedule or shuttle service.

The Lot D closure will allow installation of a sewer line near the toll booths as part of the Utility Corridor and Roadway Relocation project. When the lot reopens, the adjacent work zone will be enlarged, resulting in the loss of 35 spaces along the southeastern fence near the Calf Pasture Pumping Station.

Connector Walkway to Close between Campus Center and University Hall

Crews will shut down the enclosed walkway near the campus bookstore in the Campus Center to complete work in the connector to University Hall. Entry to University Hall will be through the doorway facing the Beacons Parking Lot, which is accessible through outdoor walkways.

Also during the break, the campus bookstore will be accessible only via the entrance at the Atrium Café side of the store. Crews will install permanent doors on the bookstore on the connector side.

Piping installation and other utility-related work will also take place in the substructure of some of the other campus buildings during the break. Also, work may begin on taking down the recently closed ramp between the Service and Supply and Quinn buildings and the Clark Athletic Center.

Please plan your walking routes accordingly. Thank you for your support and patience during construction.
