No. 5 Men’s Hockey Sees Highest-Ever Ranking in Two National Polls

The UMass Boston men’s hockey team has earned its highest-ever ranking in two national polls. The Beacons are No. 5 in both the Top 15 Poll and the Division III Poll.

Throughout its history, UMass Boston has only been as high as No. 6 in the Poll. The team was No. 5 in the poll the week of December 8, 2014.

Heading into the holiday break, the 9-1-1 Beacons are tied for first in the New England Hockey Conference. The team returns to action on Saturday, January 2, when they open the 51st Annual Codfish Bowl Tournament against SUNY Brockport.
