The fall 2015 semester includes a voice master class, a choral concert, and voice recital. There's also information here about what students need to do if they need piano accompaniment for their juries.
Voice Master Class: Monday, November 2 at 6 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge
Voice students will sing for each other and get feedback from one of the Performing Arts Department's voice teachers (not their own teacher).
Choral Concert: Monday, December 7 at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center Ballroom
The University Chorus and Chamber Singers will present music for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, including medieval chant, Renaissance polyphony, and contemporary gospel music.
Voice Recital: Monday, December 14 at 7 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge
Students from all three voice studios will perform.
Piano Accompaniment for Juries
Pianist Rob Humphreville has again agreed to play for voice juries. If there are any instrumentalists that will need piano accompaniment in their jury, they should let David Giessow know the student, instrument, and piece by email. Those students should sign up for a coaching with Rob when the sign-up sheet appears on the door of M/2/624.
Rehearsals will be:
- Tuesday, November 17, 9 a.m.–3 p.m., Location TBD
- Wednesday, November 18, 9 a.m.–3 p.m., Location TBD
There will be time for a quick run-through on:
- Monday, December 14, 1–6 p.m., Alumni Lounge
