The Division of Enrollment Management teamed up with the College of Management to host a Get Down to Business event at the UMass Club on Tuesday.
This unique collaboration brought together fall 2016 prospective students with College of Management staff, faculty, current students, and alumni for an evening of networking with five corporate partners. Representatives from New York Life, PricewaterhouseCoopers, State Street, Target, and Wellington Management shared industry insights and discussed the internships and career placement opportunities available as a result of their collaborative efforts with UMass Boston.
Dean Jorge Haddock thanked prospective students and parents for attending the event and provided examples for how the college engages with students to provide academic and career objective support.
Held downtown at the UMass Club, the 32nd floor provided a great backdrop for all of the attendees to gaze at the city and see how close the opportunities are for current and prospective UMass Boston students. After a rousing hour of networking, the event concluded with a reminder about the upcoming Welcome Day for Accepted Students on April 9.
