UMass Boston Students, Alumni: Submit Short Plays for Fall 2015 Playwright Mentorship Project

The Fall 2015 Playwright Mentorship Project is open to all UMass Boston students and recent graduates. Each playwright whose short play is selected will:

  • Develop the script for four weeks during October with one-on-one intensive mentorship by 
  • Submit their play to the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival playwriting competition at the end of the mentorship. (Deadline November 1) The KCACTF Region Playwriting Chair will invite selected playwrights to attend the festival in January 2016. 

To submit your work, please follow these guidelines:

  • Each playwright may submit up to 2 plays of 10–15 pages in length
    • Use standard play script format 
    • Put the play’s title on the first page, but do not put your name or any other identifying information on the script itself
    • Include a separate cover sheet with the play’s title, your name, and your contact 
  • Deadline for submission is SEPTEMBER 25, 2015
  • Email scripts and separate cover sheet (as .doc or .pdf) to Ginger.Lazarus@umb.edu.
