Beacons One of Three Undefeated Teams in Division III

For the first time in program history, UMass Boston’s men’s soccer team is ranked in a national poll.

On Tuesday, the 10-0 Beacons moved up to No. 23 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll. The team is ranked No. 26 in D3Soccer.com's Men's Top 25 poll.

The Beacons are one of only three undefeated teams in Division III. They rank 12th in the country, allowing just 0.39 goals per game. Senior captain Alfonso Rosales of Revere leads all of Division III with his 0.163 goals-against average and .955 save percentage.

The Beacons next host No. 15 Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday at 5 p.m. at BC High.
