Work in Progress: Workers See Themselves Through a New Lens

UMass Dartmouth Labor Resource students who are students of award-winning photographer Peter Pereira will have their work featured in the University of Massachusetts Boston's Harbor Gallery from October 28 to November 29. There will be a workshop with Pereira on November 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Harbor Gallery.

Pereira's photos have appeared in Newsweek, The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, International Herald Tribune, The Boston Globe, MSNBC.com, CNN.com and ABCnews.com. He is a three-time recipient of the National Press Photographers Association Region 1-Photographer of the Year Award. He has also won the New England Newspaper & Press Association Photographer of the Year Award five times.

This exhibit is in collaboration with the Labor Resources Centers at UMass Dartmouth and UMass Boston and The Greater Boston Labor Council.

The Harbor Gallery is located on the first floor of McCormack Hall on the UMass Boston campus.
