This summer WUMB 91.9 FM and Berklee College of Music present the fourth annual free Summer Concert Series, featuring artists from UMass Boston and Berklee. For four Saturdays in August, live performances will take place from 2-4 p.m. at beautiful Castle Island, overlooking Dorchester Bay in South Boston. These free concerts are the perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. Bring a blanket, a picnic basket, and your love of music!

Amber Blue Acoustic (UMass Boston) - Amber Blue Acoustic was formed in 2013 by two Bostonians, Ciara and Michelle. The duo have a love and passion for country, pop, rock, and anything in between.
Paulina Parga (Berklee) - Born in Mexico in 1993, Paulina started her musical education studying cello at nine years old. Ten years later she switched to voice as her principal instrument and began earning recognition as a songwriter, winning numerous songwriting contests.

Sunset Kings (UMass Boston) - This six-piece band features vocals, guitar, bass, drums, violin, and saxophone that create an indie sound influenced by blues, jazz, R&B, as well as 60s rock and prog, strung together with soulful vocals and infectious melodies.
Kathryn Hallberg (Berklee) – Kathryn Hallberg’s music is emotional, evocative, warm, natural, and firmly rooted in Americana with pop and country stylings. A songwriter and performer since the age of 11, Kathryn has honed her skills on stage and sold out her recent CD release show. She is currently pursuing a degree at Berklee with a major in songwriting.

Jazz Tea with Olive Marie (UMass Boston) – Olive Marie was born by the bays of Boston, and is a sultry jazz, disco, jangle pop, fusion songstress currently pursuing a degree in music performance at UMass Boston. Kevin Strang began playing the double bass in fifth grade with his school orchestra in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. Bradford Bleidt is a jazz pianist who cut his teeth during the explosive fusion days of the 1970s and continues to develop a multi-faceted style with jazz, rock, and blues influences. He has been a member of the UMass Jazz Ensemble and currently pursuing an MBA at UMass Boston.
Naty Hernandez (Berklee) – Singer-songwriter, guitarist, acoustic and electric bassist from the city of Medellín, Colombia, Naty’s music is a sonic journey, merging rhythms from the Andes mountains in Colombia with jazz and world music. She currently attends Berklee.

Binky (UMass Boston) – Binky is a psychedelic rock band from the South Shore. With influences spanning many genres, Binky combines fuzzy, spacey guitars and visceral, high-volume live performances to create a unique blend of blues, punk, surf, and psychedelic rock.
Yankee & The Foreigners (Berklee) – Yankee & The Foreigners was formed by a group of friends attending Berklee. The group gained attention by busking in the streets of Boston’s Back Bay. The group blends folk with edgier sounds, and recently released their debut EP, Don’t Wake Me Up.
