UMass Boston Chancellor J. Keith Motley and Paul Grogan, president and CEO of the Boston Foundation, invite you to an interactive workshop and luncheon with the Boston Indicators Project, Metropolitan Area Planning Council and URBAN.Boston that will highlight:

1. A summary of the latest report by the Boston Indicators Project and a brief introduction to its new website;
2. A demonstration of the data-rich MetroBoston DataCommon, and Weave, a new open source web-based data analysis and visualization platform developed at UMass Lowell; and
3. Dialogue about collaborative data generation and use by academics and community members to drive and track community change.

The goal of the event is to connect key stakeholders, identify and align current efforts, and generate new ideas about how best to advance (and measure progress on) community-driven economic, environmental and social goals.
