Free lunch provided! Veterans, families, and interested friends all welcome. Please share widely.

This week's speaker is Ann Stewart, LISCW, Director of Social Work, Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base, followed by a Q&A and open discussion with participants from 12:00-1:00 pm.

This week's session will provide information on the free services and programs Home Base provides, as well as describe some of their strategies for helping veterans including: COPE - PTSD and Addiction; Couples Protocols; "Seeking Safety"; and CRAFT -  Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training.

Each Thursday in April, the William Joiner Institute is hosting informal workshops and informational sessions on the topic of substance abuse and recovery techniques in the veteran community.

Come enjoy a free lunch while listening to discussions led by veterans who are experts in this field. They will focus on veteran-specific information and recovery resources available in the greater Boston area.

Special speakers include Home Base representatives, trauma experts, licensed social workers, University Health Services, and veteran counselors.

Family and friends of veterans are all welcome.
