The Department of Performing Arts announces open auditions for the theatre arts mainstage production of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by Carrie Ann Quinn.

Auditions are September 12 and 13, at 6 p.m., with callbacks on September 14 at 6 p.m. Prepare a comedic monologue, under two minutes, written between 1650 and 1950.

All UMass Boston students are eligible for roles, as well as a myriad of technical and behind the scenes positions. We encourage students of all majors with an interest in theatre to participate in bringing Wilde's hilarious comedy to life.
