The Biology Department at UMass Boston presents the Dimensions of Sustainability Winter Symposium 2017, titled Salt Marshes Under Stress: Current Trends, Future Scenarios. This event will be held on Friday, December 8 and will be hosted by research fellow Reinmar Seidler. He is bringing in three guest speakers: Keryn Gedan, Sergio Fagherazzi, and Chris Field. 

Keryn Gedan from George Washington University will be presenting a talk titled "Marshes of the future: Plant Communities in Salt-Affected Coastal Uplands." Sergio Fagherazzi from Boston University will be presenting a talk titled "Salt Marsh Collapse: NO Sea Level Rise Required!" Chris Field from SESYNC will be presenting a talk titled "Marshes on the Move? Human and Ecological Roadblocks to Tidal Marsh Migration."
