Join UMass Boston School for the Environment students and faculty for the 5th Annual Environmental Research Colloquium and Intercampus Marine Science Symposium on April 19, 2017.

View our online invitation.

Graduate and undergraduate students conducting research on a topic related to an environmental or marine issue will present their research, which can be local or global in nature, examined from a single or multiple perspectives. Twenty oral and 39 poster presenters will gather together to showcase their work. Students, faculty, and staff will convene at the UMass Boston Integrated Science Complex for a day of learning and sharing. Besides graduate and undergraduate students from UMass Boston, the event will host students from the UMass sister campuses – Amherst, Dartmouth, and Lowell, and other universities in the Boston area, including BU, MIT, and Tufts University. Take a look at our short video invitation.

Several employers will also join the event. Among them are the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, the Neponset River Watershed Association, the New England Aquarium, and the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc. (CUAHSI).

The keynote speaker this year is MIT Professor Noelle Eckley Selin, PhD.

We’d like to thank everyone for their help and support. Most of all, we thank the students from the SFE graduate seminar, who have been instrumental in organizing this event.
