Event Start Date: May 07, 2013 - 6 p.m.
Event End Date: May 07, 2013 - 9:30 p.m.
Location: Quinn Administration Building, 3rd Floor, Chancellor's Conference Room
For their final course before earning the Graduate Certificate in Women in Politics and Public Policy, these McCormack Graduate School students have designed and completed a substantial research paper, analyzing in detail one example of public sector decision-making. These research projects integrate theoretical perspectives from the previous class seminars.
Join us to listen to several exciting and controversial policy decisions in areas in which these women wish to develop their expertise. In many cases, case study topics are related to the student's internship placement typically in the offices of members of the U.S. Congress or state senators and representatives; in state or local agencies; nonprofit or advocacy organizations; or at prestigious research institutes. These internships provide a learning environment for a deeper understanding of the political and policymaking process and allow students the opportunity to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
A list of topics will be announced closer to the event date.
