Join the Department of Economics for the first seminar of the Fall Economics Seminar Series featuring Dr. Bilge Erten. 

Dr. Bilge Erten received her PhD in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010. She was a postdoctoral research scholar of the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University from 2012 to 2014, and is currently an NBER DITE fellow. Her research is in development economics and international economics, with a particular focus on empirical research. One stream of her current work focuses on public policy and gender inequality in the context of Turkey and South Africa. Another stream examines the use of prudential capital account regulations as tools for improving financial stability among developing countries.
