In Birth of a Movement, Bestor Cram and Susan Gray examine the controversy around D.W. Griffith’s 1915 film The Birth of a Nation and William Monroe Trotter's campaign against it. This free screening is sponsored by UMass Boston's William Monroe Trotter Institute for the Study of Black Culture.
