Alternative Spring Break Peru Needs You! Help Us Bring Water to Those in Need!

This year, 12 UMass Boston students are attempting to address the world water crisis by assisting in the construction of a community water system in a small village of Peru.

Currently villagers suffer from a lack of running water and women and children are forced to travel miles on foot in order to provide water for even the basic necessities, such as cooking, bathing, and drinking. UMass Boston students will be traveling to a small village with a population size of 160 people located in the Amazon rainforest near Huacaria, Peru. We will be partnering with a local organization called the House of the Children and Yaku, an international consulting agency whose mission are to provide sustainable water, sanitation and heal in Latin American communities.

Make a difference in the lives of children by supporting our fundraisers!
