Event Date: March 22, 2017 - 4 p.m.
Location: Campus Center, 2nd Floor, Room 2540
In this educational workshop facilitated by Rose Cheyette, coordinator of Community Education & Outreach Samaritans, Inc., you will explore what puts a person at risk for suicide and what warning signs we can all be looking out for. Time will also be spent discussing how to talk to a friend who is suicidal and even how to ask them the important question of, “Are you feeling suicidal?” This is a workshop that everyone should hear. You are guaranteed to leave with new tools. You will also learn about the resources that are available, on campus and in the community, to support individuals who are struggling with mental health concerns.
