This intensive one-day workshop has been customized specifically for UMass Boston faculty and Venture Development Center (VDC) partners interested in applying for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant opportunities.

UMass Boston and the Venture Development Center would like to provide faculty and the VDC’s resident business partners with intensive training and information on how to apply for these grants, successfully.
If you are unfamiliar with the SBIR/STTR funding opportunities, more information can be found on the U.S. Small Business Administration's website at www.sba.gov.
*Please note that the workshop commitment is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with some additional time allotted after 3 p.m. for individual consultation (optional) with the expert.

This workshop will take you from start to finish in the application process. You will gain an understanding of how to identify opportunities in your area of interest; how to complete an application correctly; and additionally, the workshop will provide strategies that may increase chances of winning an award. This workshop is of great value to anyone serious about taking advantage of these funding opportunities, either now, or in the future.

It also provides another opportunity to network with other faculty innovators at UMass Boston and at the Venture Development Center.
