We have a lot of exciting things planned for this spring!
Most of the events listed below are free and open to the public, but some are ticketed events. Please read the description for each and if applicable click on the link for more details. As always feel free to give the office a call with any questions, thanks!

Thursday, March 31: Chancellor's Community Breakfast
The annual community breakfast at which the Robert H. Quinn Award for outstanding community service is given to a local community member who has been nominated by his/her peers. This year the award will be presented to Pat O’ Neill for her tireless dedication to her community as president of the Ashmont Adams Neighborhood Association. The Chancellor’s Award for Longstanding Community Commitment and Service will be presented to James Cassetta, CEO and president of WORK Inc., for his pioneering efforts on behalf of disabled individuals. This event is invitation only.
Saturday, April 9: Welcome Day
Congratulations on your admission to the University of Massachusetts Boston! Take your next step toward becoming a UMass Boston student at Welcome Day on April 9. Come get a taste of the many exciting experiences and valuable opportunities awaiting you at the university--and bring your friends and family along! Monday, April 25 - Tuesday, May 3: Spring Enrichment and Engagement Days
Join us for a week's worth of campus events - lectures, musical performances, movies - most are free and open to the public.
Tuesday, April 26: Chancellor's Achievement Awards
Celebrate the outstanding service and leadership of our staff, as we recognize an outstanding member from both our classified and professional staff who have demonstrated exceptional performance in one of three categories — service, initiative, or innovation—or some combination of the three. Each award recipient will receive a $5,000 stipend and will be recognized at a reception for the university community on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. All staff and faculty are encouraged to nominate a colleague worthy of this recognition.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 8, 2016. All nomination forms must be received in the Office of Human Resources by the close of business on that date.
