The UMass Boston Performing Arts Department presents

 UMass Boston Chamber Orchestra, Sommer Forrester, conductor, celebrates the legacy of President John F. Kennedy with The Sounds of Silence.

Featuring the premiere of On the Legacy of 1000 Days by David Patterson, commissioned by UMass Boston in cooperation with the JFK Library and Museum for the centennial celebration of JFK’s birth, performed by the Orchestra with the UMass Boston Chamber Singers.

Other composers include Bernstein, Sousa, Loewe, Grainger, and UMass Boston student Jack Stotler '17.
