Join us for our second seminar of the year where we will be hearing about "How to Measure the Quality of a Medical Decision" from Jack Fowler, PhD, a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Survey Research. For the past 10 years, Jack has worked with the Informed Medical Decisions Foundation, which conducts and funds research on how decisions are made and how to support patients facing important medical decisions. Topics for this seminar include:
- Why patients need to be informed and involved
- Key elements of good decision making
- How quality of decision making is being measured
- Some examples of variation in how decisions are made
The seminar will be held on Monday, February 11th, 2013 at 12 p.m. at the UMass Boston Healey Library, Lower Level in the Presentation Room 3. Lunch will be served.
