Wellness Wednesdays: Mindful Commuting
Commuting is a way to remind us that prepare as we might, there’s always elements of life that are out of our control. The flat tire, the surprise rainstorm, the subway train that breaks down; these all remind us of how important it is to surrender control as a way to find peace. Join us for a workshop that will explore how to take what may be an unwelcome experience and reframe it to enhance your day and your wellbeing.
This workshop will be presented by Karen Fabian,a certified, registered yoga teacher, has been teaching yoga to adults and children since 2002. Karen has over 20 years of corporate business experience as well as her own experience as a stressed, over-worked corporate professional. Karen makes yoga accessible and practical, offering quick methods to fit yoga and meditation into their day. She also writes several online publications that focus on wellness, including the article about "Mindfulness for Commuters." The focus was to give people tips around staying calm during their commute. Karen will share strategies and tips that you can use to stay calm and centered (or at least try to) while commuting.
