Open Lab
The goal of open lab is to offer students a proctored setting where they can practice skill development for performance exams, competency testing and/or their clinical practices.
Participation at open lab will provide an opportunity for deliberate, repetitive practice of essential clinical skills and in the use of sophisticated equipment. Graduate nursing students supervise the sessions and are happy to coach students and provide immediate performance feedback. Attending open lab boosts student confidence and enriches clinical knowledge and skill.
Dates and times of open labs are posted at the front desk of the CCER and on the CCER Facebook page. Open labs are run on a drop-in basis. Requests for themed open labs can be made by emailing rosemary.samia@umb.edu.
