Tenure Track Faculty
Tenure track faculty careers span from pre-tenured faculty to retired faculty. OFD provides services to tenure track faculty at all stages of their careers and collaborates with other offices and departments to provide professional development resources.
Retired faculty play an important role at UMass Boston. The Retired Faculty Leadership Council meets each semester and annually award the Endowed Faculty Career Development Award. There is an annual Retired Faculty Dinner and each semester the Retired Faculty Newsletter is published.
The Office for Faculty Development has created a Department Chair Handbook. In addition to this guidebook, OFD offers workshops and department chairs' retreats. We also support chair networking and support groups. Please contact us for more information.
