Additional Information

James J. Buckley taught English classes in grades 7 through high school and then at the college level. He has been an advocate of reading aloud and of short stories.  In addition, he has enjoyed reading to grade school children in the various places he has lived in the Commonwealth. To him, reading a short story aloud is one of the oldest and most rewarding forms of communication. Throughout the centuries it has created a deeply satisfying experience for both the teller and his/her audience. He hopes that this class will reinvigorate that experience and its benefits for all those who participate in it.
