Getting Started with MS IT Academy
The Microsoft IT Academy Program is a resource available to UMass Boston faculty, staff and students. This program provides web-accessible course offerings to support the development of new technology skills and enhance existing skills. It offers over 400 on-line courses from basic computer application program skills to courseware intended for IT professionals and developers (basic Word skills to Designing Network Infrastructure in Windows Server). The IT Academy program is available anytime and any place with internet access.
To start using the library of courses, you must first create an account. You can use your UMassBoston email credentials to create the account.
Second, you must request an access code. This access code will give you access to the entire library of courses. You only have to enter the access code once. Each time you login to your MS IT Academy account after that, the course list will be available to you.
Follow the steps below to create an account, get an access code, and use the extensive library.
To create an account and receive your access code:
- Click on this link:
- Click on the Sign-in button located at the top right side of the page.
- Use your UMass Boston email address and password to create an account and login.
- Email EdTech.Training@umb.edu to request an access code to MS IT Academy Library of courses.
