Waive Your Health Insurance Fee on WISER

Massachusetts state law requires students enrolled in 75% of full-time curriculum in any Massachusetts institution of higher education to participate in a school-sponsored qualifying Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP) or an alternate health plan with comparable coverage.

If you have comparable coverage under another major medical insurance plan, you can waive the SHIP. You cannot waive SHIP if you are currently insured by Mass Health Limited, Health Safety Net or Children’s Medical Security Plan. For more information about SHIP please visit the Bursar's Office–Health Insurance page.
