UMass Boston

Campus Center

About Us

The UMass Boston Campus Center is the front door of the University— welcoming students, faculty, staff and visitors to a community of learners.  As the gateway to the academic life of the University, it reflects the institution's mission and founding principles of access, diversity and excellence. The Campus Center is the "living room" of the university, and serves as a unifying force by combining student services, student life and gathering spaces that build and encourage community interaction. The Campus Center is more than a building; it is a learning laboratory, and collectively the Campus Center strives to create balance and provide support to three primary areas:

Student Life & Student Involvement
Consolidates student activities to create a strong sense of community, and provides opportunity for student involvement and student development through social, cultural, recreational and leadership opportunities.

University Resources & Services
Through a variety of offices and service areas, the Campus Center facilitates the effective delivery of academic, administrative and campus services that support students, faculty, staff and guests.

Event & Conference Services
Provides event and meeting spaces for the UMass Boston community, as well as external organizations and guests. Campus Center spaces build community and positively expose UMass Boston by opening our doors to neighbors, colleagues and guests, while helping to offset the operating expenses of the facility.
