Queer & Trans Studies Minor

Explore the evolution of LGBTQ+ identity and its impact on culture and society.

If you have an interest in LGBTQ+ communities—whether personally, professionally, or as an activist—consider pursuing the Queer and Trans Studies Minor.

The minor is an interdisciplinary program that explores LGBTQ+ liberation, identity, history, health, art, activism, and more. It examines the influence of these subjects on our daily lives, cultural institutions, political discourses, and media representations.

A minor in Queer and Trans Studies can help you build knowledge and skills relevant to a wide variety of careers in education, health, medicine, social work, public policy, community development, human resources, and more.
