Amy Todd’s dissertation explored the interaction between formal regulation, economic decision-making and culture on urban markets in Oaxaca, Mexico. Although she is a socio-cultural anthropologist, she was originally trained at UMass/Boston and the University of Arizona in biological anthropology.
