Guilherme Ortigara Longo
Biography
I am a marine ecologist studying how local and global human-driven environmental changes affect organisms, species interactions, and ecosystems across scales—from local communities to large-scale comparisons. I combine field and lab observations and experiments to understand the patterns and mechanisms driving ecological responses, and to translate this evidence into actionable insights for conservation and restoration.

Coral reef ecology and conservation; coral bleaching; herbivory, competition and community dynamics; chemical ecology; marine conservation
