Linda has experience in both academic and clinical practice settings as a faculty member and nurse educator.   Academically, Linda has taught numerous graduate level courses in the Clinical Nurse Specialist and the Nurse Educator Certificate Programs at University of Massachusetts Boston. Linda has also taught undergraduate courses in Assessment, Pharmacology and Capstone/Synthesis of Nursing Practice courses. In the clinical practice setting Linda has had over 40 years of leadership experience as a Director of Nursing Education and Research; and she has also been responsible for conducting critical care nursing professional development programs.

Linda has a focus area of interest is in mentoring novice Nurse Educators in their role transition; specifically in the development of Nurse Residency and Fellowship Programs, Competency Based Education and Orientation, Continuing Education/Professional Development Education activities, in the clinical practice setting.

Linda’s program of research focuses on the bundling of autonomous nursing interventions utilizing program development and evaluation; while focusing on patient safety, and improving patient outcomes.
