Shawna Butler
Biography
Dr. Butler is a nurse-attorney, patient safety/risk specialist and nursing/healthcare law educator. She is passionate about protecting, educating and supporting clinicians in order for them to be ideally situated to provide optimal care to their patients. Direct efforts with clinicians has an ultimate indirect effect on the patients. She also promotes systems/design thinking in healthcare and assisted in implementing the electronic health record (Epic) as well being an editor for a journal.
