A Vibrant Business Incubator & Community

The Venture Development Center (VDC) is UMass Boston’s thriving business incubator. A hub for entrepreneurial activities on campus, the VDC serves as an invaluable resource for early-stage start-ups, students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

24/7 Co-working Facility

Early-stage innovators, even if they are not already affiliated with UMass Boston, can rent the VDC’s affordable office, wet lab, and tech lab spaces. The well-equipped, modern facility even includes event spaces and breathtaking views of Boston Harbor.

Exceptional Location

The VDC is conveniently located at UMass Boston, an R1 research institution in the City of Boston, Massachusetts. The campus is accessible by public transportation (Redline MBTA) and is conveniently located near downtown Boston, South Station, and Logan Airport.

Industry-agnostic Environment

From artificial intelligence (AI) to blue tech to robotics and more, entrepreneurs at the VDC are working on innovative and scalable ideas.

Educational & Networking Events

The VDC offers an inspiring array of events such as speakers, expert panels, funding workshops, hackathons, industry networking events, and much more.
