Allison Smith, Ph.D. from Daleville, VA is an Assistant Professor of Sport Leadership and Administration. She received her Bachelor of Art in Communications and Masters of Art in Sport Administration from Wingate University. She received her Masters of Science in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior and PhD in Kinesiology and Sport Studies from the University of Tennessee. Her primary research interests are the underrepresentation of women in intercollegiate athletics, work/life interface of intercollegiate coaches and administrators, and the holistic development of intercollegiate athletes. She has published her research in various peer-reviewed journals. Her professional memberships include the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) and North American Society for Sociology of Sport (NASSS).
