Additional Information

Sharon Lamb, EdD PhD is currently running a research group that focuses on four topics:

  1. Sexualization and healthy sexuality in children and adolescents but in particular, girls of color;
  2. Moral reasoning of bystanders in sketchy sexual situations;
  3. A sex education curriculum she and her students created called Sexual Ethics for a Caring Society Curriculum (SECS-C) and which they taught in a public high school for seven semesters, and
  4. Sexual subjectivity in adolescent and early adulthood males.

Students interested in sexual development, victimization and agency, feminism, development of "masculinity" in relation to sexual development, bystanders in sketchy sexual situations, sexual violence, media representations and influence, and ethics (philosophy) would be welcome to work with Professor Lamb in her research lab.  She is a member of the following APA divisions: Counseling Psychology (17); Psychology of Women (35); Men and Masculinities (51); and Psychology of Children and Adolescents (53).
