Completion Requirements

The Studio Art Minor consists of six courses, for a total of eighteen credit hours:

  • Two introductory 200-level Studio Art courses; select from ART 100-ART 104, ART 212, ART 222-ART 278, and ART 305-375
  • Two advanced Studio Art courses at the 300-level 
  • Two Studio Art electives (one of these can be substituted with an art
    history course).

GPA: A minimum GPA of 2.0 from all courses for the minor.
Pass/fail: No courses taken pass/fail may be applied toward the minor.
Residency: At least four courses for the minor must be completed at UMass Boston.
Course level: At least two courses applied toward the minor must be at the 300-level or higher.
